I put Super unleaded in my Ford Escape what should I do?

When I purchased this car brand new.. the sales me told me never to put Super Unleaded in this car. I accidentally did that today (after 6 years..I think my mind is slipping)

Will this damage my car?

thanks

The salesman is an idiot. You can ALWAYS run higher grade fuel in a car, just not lower than the manufacturers suggestion.

At worst, you wasted a few cents. Don’t worry about it.

Just drive it you’ll probably get better performance

It will do absolutely nothing but possibly raise the quality of the drive.
Just so long as u don’t use ethanol petrol when not advised to you’ll be fine.

    won’t hurt anything.

please tell me the sales man name and number he needs slap therapy and i am the person to do it. the higher grade of gas is a lot better then the lower grades because it keeps your injectors cleaner and burns slower which means better gas millage. sorry a idiot told you this he needs to go to idiots 101

The guys are right, the only thing that you will damage is your wallet. The car will be fine!

The salesman was wrong. Putting super unleaded in your car won’t hurt anything. Since your car doesn’t have a high-performance engine, you won’t see any benefits, but it won’t hurt anything either.
