Question by rx78788: i have a question about salvage vs, rebuilt titles?
bought a bike this last summer. the guy told me that it had a salvage title but when the title came it the mail, it had a huge stamp saying rebuilt on it. So it was not a salvage title, but a rebuilt one. Also on the bike it has a sticker saying that it was inspected by the state of washington. what is the differance between a salvage and a rebuilt title?

my question is, will it be insurable?

I believe a salvage title means the vehicle is designated for parts only and a rebuilt indicates that it was restored using parts of different vehicles, so that there may be different VIN numbers. A vehicle with a restored title should be both register-able and insurable.
