Dear car experts,

I’ve been looking to buy a BMW Z3 (manual + power top) for some time, and haven’t found any in my state. One finally appeared today, and it sounds awesome, and the price is great.

Except for one thing… it says “branded title”?!? I don’t know too much about cars, other than that this seems to refer to a car that may have been ’salvaged’, ‘rebuilt’ or had ‘extensive damage’? But the car isn’t that old, mileage is only 100K or so, and it looks great in the pictures.

Can anyone give me an idea of what “branded title” might mean or probably means here?

Oh, I just found another listing for this same car, it says:
“Car has “rebuilt title” was bumped while parked. ”

If it got a ‘rebuilt title’, does that mean the damage was very serious? I once had a car get hit pretty badly while parked, and never got any such title…

The casting number is 3963512 (and that 6 might be a 8 also)
Date Code H 26 9
and it has
CONV 1
GM 6 (i think it is a 8 maybe)
on it.
And the cam has 60 on it. What does the 60 on the cam mean? Is the 60 good or bad?
And can you tell me everything you can about this engine from the info I gave. I am trying to find a engine for my 70 chevelle, i think this is the one. How much would you say the engine is worth being a short block, fully rebuilt (oven, shotblasted, resurfaced, honed, everything cams, pistons, camshaft) and with the heads that are rebuilt also just not attached and the heads are for that engine. Thank you very much. Let me know if I could give any more information so you could tell me more about it.
The reason why i want to know what everything about it is because I believe it was made in 1969 and it goes to a 1970 chevelle or a corvette. And I think it is a LS _ ( 1, 3, or 5)? This engine is really hard to find,right?
