Question by saterday_girl: Please help me with a band name!!!?
So far we have 5 girls who are making up a band. We want to be original, and UNIQUE. not too out there, though. Maybe something with a latin reference, like some bands do.
Ok let me inform you of the personalities of the band members we are dealing with.
There’s me, and I’m very passionate about God. I also have an inviting personality-I know I can’t be perfect yet I strive to my hardest until it hurts really bad.
The next one is very picky. She can’t eat certain foods, or can’t stand certain things. She can be silly, though, besides that. She gets upset 2-in and out, she cares for her friends and takes care of them.
number 3 doesn’t want to look uncool. she’s a prep, but is going with the punk style of our band.
number 4 is very sensitive to other’s opinions. she doesn’t want anyone mad at her, and fears a lot.
number 5 is sarcastic. shes really fun, and gets funny when she’s hyper.

our favorite bands are evanesence, Hey Monday, Green Day, and several others in this style.

Our hit so far is titled “Twisted”

We’ve tried for the band name Pwrlines, but it was in the goofy movie so…yeah
our temporary name is midnight violation, but it doesn’t seem to make the cut so far….
so any ideas?

Hey Yahoo! Answers, I need help with a pretty basic guess and check problem because I forgot how to set up equations over the summer. First to help me solve gets Best Answer. Here it is:

Bert and Ernie were picked up for not using their turn signal. At the police station they noticed only motorcycles and police cars in the parking lot. Ernie said, “Hey Bert, I’ll count how many motorcycles and police cars there are and you count the total number of wheels on the vehicles.” Bert said, “ok,” and used his computer brain (LMFAO) to quickly count 78 wheels. It took Ernie a little while longer to count 24 vehicles. When they got home they told their story to Big Bird who immediately asked, “Well, how many of each were there?”

x will be police cars, y will be motorcycles
x+y=24 (Total amount of cars and motorcycles)
4x+2y=78 (Car has 4 wheels each, motorcycle has 2)

Use substitution (easiest in this case):
y=-x+24
4x+2(-x+24)=78
4x-2x+48=78
2x=30
x=15
Plug back into first equation:
15+y=24
y=9
There were 15 cars, 9 motorcycles.
