New Car.. Wrecked… Before we added to insurance?

We had liability insurance on our older car, Then bought a new car on thursday, Had a car wreck on Saturday night before we got to add the new vehicle to our new State Farm policy which was to go in effect in about 2 weeks. The liability insurance carrier “Gecko” was to terminate on 10/29/09 – Both cars in the wreck had pretty major damage. We hit the other car in the rear… And got a Ticket for not having insurance on the new car because our insurance card from Gecko. Only our old car. Will either of the insurance companies pay for the damage to our new car and the damage to the other persons car? If you are an insurance pro please let us know what we should do and what to expect. Thank you for any help.

Should I sell my clunker and buy a new car?

I have a 1996 honda civic with 150k miles on it. I am debating if I should sell my car and buy a new(used) car.

The reasons I want to sell it:
1)The AC dosent work, not worth fixing and it gets hot in Atlanta.
2) Has good bit of body damage that I have hammered out myself, not an vechical you would want to pick up your date in.
3) It’s not worth much right now, so I want to get what It’s worth now before the value depriciate more(Personally I think it has depreciated to it’s lowest value). I would guess it’s worth $2000 tops.
4) This car affects my personal life, people judge me, I cant really impress anyone with it.

The reasons I want to keep it:
1) It runs fine, no mechnical or engine issues
2) Gives great gas mileage, I can squeez 45MPG when I am Hypermiling.
3) Inurance is cheap, since it’s old and I have only liablity coverage.
4) This car will probably last me for another year or two before it starts giving serious problems.

So what would you do?

What can I expect to get for my 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx LT from a Salvage Yard?

It was involved in a head on collision. I’m not sure it still starts but it was declared totaled by the insurance company. I’m going to get a new car, just want to get a fair price for my old car.
Also, Would it be better to take it to a dealership and try to Sell it, Sell it as scrap metal or donate it for taxes?? And, I live in GA.

How can I get the most out of selling my wrecked Infinity?

I live in Arlington Texas, and last week I wrecked my 1994 Infinity J30. I bought a new car now and still have the Infinity and want to sell it. I have heard about selling for parts but cant find much on the net about it. The car runs fine, but has damage to the front two fenders, the hood and the fenders are causing the two front doors not to open all the way.
