Can You Get A Loan+Insurance On A Salvaged/Rebuilt Car?

A friend of mine works in a Salvage Yard & a lot of the cars they get in have been rebuilt or have no damage to them at all, the rest are totaled or have fresh/salt water damage to them. I was thinking about a buying car & my friends Boss said he’d take off 3000-5000 on any car as a favor to his daughter(My Friend) for me & let me bring in my own mechanic to check out the car & let me get a Carfax & give me a 180-Day Warranty. I only have $2700 for a down-payment & my uncle offered me a few Thousand Dollars more & to be a Co-signer if I need it. Would I be able to get a loan & insurance?
Another reason why he’s willing to take off so much money & give me a 180-Day Warranty is because 90% cars they get in are luxury/Sport cars like Audi, BMW, Benz, Lexus, Inifiniti, Jaguar, Porsche etc. & he knows that if something does go wrong it will cost me a(n) Arm & A Leg to get it fixed

It was involved in a head on collision. I’m not sure it still starts but it was declared totaled by the insurance company. I’m going to get a new car, just want to get a fair price for my old car.
Also, Would it be better to take it to a dealership and try to Sell it, Sell it as scrap metal or donate it for taxes?? And, I live in GA.
