On a “salvaged title”, does it specify if the engine was damaged?

Question by Hey You Guys!: On a “salvaged title”, does it specify if the engine was damaged?
I’m going to buy a used car and was wondering if I should look into buying a car with a salvaged title. I’ve seen a few that look very nice at a good price.

The salvage title just means that the car has been legally totaled and then bought back by a consumer from an insurance corporation. The salvage title itself looks just like a regular title except it says salvage or rebuildable on it. However a carfax report of the vin numbers of a car in question would tell you if there was external or visible engine damage.
