Who’s car is it??
I got a car as a gift. I had a verbal agreement (with witnesses) for someone else to buy it. Basically she crashed it before the forms were filled out. I signed the title over to her anyways so she could deal with selling it, as well as applying the cash from the sale to the damage caused to the house the car drove into. No bill of sale was filled out because it was a gift, and no statement of transfer either as we knew it was just going to be sold immediatly.
She sold it for cash, and failed to give the new buyer the title. He stated I need to get a title reissued in his name because my signing it over to this girl is not valid… Any counsel would be greatly appriciated!

Who ever you signed it over to is the owner, and would have to transfer it into her name to be able to sell it to someone else. Tell the buyer it was not your car, and you didn’t sell it to him, and to discuss any problems he might have with the owner of the car.
